ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s Student-Run TV Station
ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv is a multiple Lone Star EMMY® Student Production Award recipient. The award-winning student-run station is dedicated to providing the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Community with a variety of quality programming that informs and entertains, while promoting the same core values and mission of the University.
Students at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv produce live newscasts, specialty shows and Spanish segments. Students receive hands-on training in live broadcasting, camera operation, interviewing skills and on-camera performance. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv also provides students with real-life production experience in remote broadcasting and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Athletics games.
In 2022, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv was named Best Newscast by the Lone Star EMMY® Student Production Foundation. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv received the Dr. Marjorie Yambor Signature Station of the year award in 2022. In 2021, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½tv was awarded “Best Overall Organization” on Campus.
