As an institution with a rich history of serving Hispanic and Latino students, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ takes immense pride in its annual celebration of Hispanic heritage and achievements. This celebration is an opportunity to embrace the vibrant tapestry of Hispanic and Latino cultures on our campus. We invite you to explore, learn and be inspired by the achievements, traditions and voices that are shaping our world.

Mabee Library Hispanic Heritage Month Book Display

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Mabee Library presents a curated book display centered on the theme "Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together." Curated by library staff, the collection highlights works by Hispanic and Latino authors, exploring cultural history, community leaders and contemporary voices shaping the future.

The Feik School of Pharmacy hosts its 4th annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration exclusively for pharmacy students. Attendees can enjoy a complimentary fajita buffet alongside live mariachi music.

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ football team takes on Houston Christian University for "210 Night" in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Highlights include live music and entertainment, a blessing of the athletes and a 210 T-shirt giveaway while supplies last. Tailgating opens at 2 p.m. ahead of kickoff.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) welcomes guest speakers Matthew Myers, managing attorney, and Cecilia Carrera, legal analyst and Mexican attorney, from Myers Immigration Law. The informative session covers immigration pathways under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA/T-MEC). The first half features an English-language presentation and Q&A on TN visas for Canadian citizens. The second half includes a Spanish-language presentation and bilingual Q&A on TN visas for Mexican citizens. The event is open to students, faculty, staff and alumni across U.S. and Mexico campuses.
